What Are LED lights? 

LED (Light Emitting Diode) lamps are electrical devices made up of an LED, a small light-emitting diode. This component has high efficiency. That is, it produces a lot of light with little energy. Its luminous power is high and electrical power is low, it doesn't need a reactor to work, but it does need a drive. Even at low power, its luminous flux is equal to the light output of the incandescent light. 

How LED Lights Work? 

• The LED light works in a much simpler way than we think. Its structure has an electronic circuit responsible for adjusting the voltage that arrives at the lamp to 12V, which is the voltage that the light needs to make the drive work. 

• In addition to the electronic circuit, the light has a LED strip that runs along the entire length of the glass. It also has a socket with two pins on each side for led lighting installations. 

• With this structure, the LED light works when the electronic circuit receives and adjusts the lamp voltage, distributing this voltage to the LED strip so that each one gets the necessary voltage to work. 

• These lights can be controlled by the remotes. There are also many different colours of the LED which helps change the look of the same room.  

Led lighting installations   

• With the lighting point defined, identify the return cable and the neutral cable and mark them to avoid confusing them. 
• Then turn off the lamp circuit breaker or the general circuit breaker if there is no circuit separation.
• After that, you must fix the luminaire on the lighting point, tightening the screws so that it does not become unstable. 
• Now, just fit the LED lamp into the luminaire sockets, always respecting the connection scheme so as not to work wrongly. 
• Reset the circuit breaker and check the operation and notice the LED light glow. 

How do led lighting installations after changing the fluorescent lights? 

• When changing fluorescent light, you will need to remove the ballast from the fluorescent lamp, as the LED light does not require a ballast to work.
• It is advisable to use protective masks and goggles. In addition to the dirt, usually accumulates inside the lamp, there is a risk of an animal or insect getting out of there!
• Remove the protection grid, if any, remove the lamp and the fixing screws from the luminaire. After that, remove the luminaire, and the ballast will appear. 
• Disconnect the cables that feed the reactor and remove it, marking the return and neutral thread not to confuse them.
• Secure the luminaire again by tightening the screws so that it does not become unstable.
• After that, fit the LED light into the luminaire sockets, respecting the scheme not to do wrongly.
• Turn the circuit breaker back on to check the operation to check if the process was a success or not.
