by - August 17, 2021

Do you often through picture-perfect images of celebrities and influencers and keep on wondering how they manage to look toned, maintaining thighs, love handles, belly, chin and other vital body parts? Even with a strict diet and targeted exercise, achieving the ideal body can be challenging at times; however, the new age solution of body sculpting can be the answer to get the perfect body shape.

Suppose you are not familiar with what body sculpting is. In that case, it is a method in which fat cells are melted or destroyed with the help of sonic vibrations, extreme temperatures, acid injections, and flushed out of the body. Usually, most body sculpting procedures are non-invasive or non-surgical and have little or no side effects.

Several types of body contouring treatments are available. They work with a similar mechanism of breaking down fat cells and eventually cleansing the body by flushing them out. The most popular treatments are:

1.Cool sculpting therapy

Also known as Cryolipolysis, this body sculpting treatment uses cold temperatures to destroy fat cells by freezing them. The procedure uses an applicator that works like a vacuum to suck up the area being treated. The area being treated is sucked into an application that works in a similar way to a vacuum. Each session takes up to 45 minutes duration, and most patients can see a visible result of 20% to 25% reduction in the treated area. This method of body sculpting is not recommended for people with severe overweight issues.

2.Cool tone therapy

This body sculpting method is also a non-invasive treatment. It differs from cool sculpting by the Magnetic Muscle Stimulation (MMS) technology. In MMS, the fat layers of the skin are penetrated to target the muscle layer only. This treatment has the additional benefit of toning, firming and strengthening the muscle fibres, a feature very useful when speaking of fat loss in areas like the abdomen, buttocks, and thighs.

 3. Vela shape therapy

Vela Shape body sculpting treatment uses a technology that combines infrared light and bipolar radiofrequency (RF) energy that heats the skin, coupled with massage and gentle suction to destroy fat cells below the skin surface. A handheld device applicator that is FDA approved is placed on the surface of the skin. The suction mechanism of the device pulls the area under treatment closer to the energy source inside, working on the cellulite built-up. The procedure usually takes 20 to 30 minutes and also improves blood circulation.

Like any cosmetic treatment, body sculpting may have some minor post-treatment side effects, such as

  • Mild swelling, redness, or bruising in and around the area being treated
  • A slight tingling or stinging feeling for a couple of weeks afterwards the procedure
  • Slight Numbing or reduction of sensation in the area being treated

There may be side effects that most clients experience; however, these side effects are mild and temporary and does not restrict the patient to perform their daily routine, even immediately after treatment.

Final Words

The physiological formation of stubborn fat is very different from regular fat accumulation. Hence, a different treatment method is required for its removal. Patients with weight and loose fat issues who have tried the exercise and dietary methods of stubborn fat reduction may achieve smooth, tight and toned skin with a little help through body sculpting
